About Me
Hi, my name is Brahm and I’ve been teaching music for about 20 years. Along the way I’ve honed my ability to meet students where they are, and take them where they want to go. I was very fortunate to have a musical upbringing that involved both traditional classical lessons and informal, ear-based lessons focused on playing popular music and improvising. I try to combine both of these approaches in my teaching so that students can learn both important music fundamentals and the freedom and joy of improvisation and direct connection to music. More than anything, I try to cater my lessons to each particular student’s goals and learning style.

Private Instruction
Unlock your musical potential with personalized one-on-one instruction tailored to your unique learning style. My lessons emphasize rhythm, improvisation, and music fundamentals. Lessons are available in person at my home studio, in your home, or online through Zoom. Accepting ages 6-adult.

Group Instruction
Have fun learning and playing music with others! Modern Band classes are 90min of learning songs as a band, and can consist of 2-6 students. Group classes are available in person at my home studio, in your home, or online through Zoom.
Homeschool and Neuro-Divergent Students
I am set up to provide music lessons through various Homeschool Charter Schools in the area. If you are a homeschooler and would like to add me as a vendor with your school, please let me know!
I also have extensive experience working with neuro-divergent students, including ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders. My approach is very adaptable to each students individual needs. If you have any questions, please reach out!
Pricing and Policies
Lessons are weekly and are billed monthly on the first of the month (price X number of weeks in that month)
Cancellations must be made 24 hrs in advance for a makeup credit which can be applied towards a make-up lesson or a video lesson. Note: makeup credits cannot be used to discount future months tuition. Cancelations made within the 24 window do not receive makeup credit, however a pre-recorded video lesson can be sent.
Lessons available in 30min, 45min, and 1hr increments. Modern Band group classes are 90min

Private Instruction, in North Hollywood Home Studio:
$37.50 per 30min lesson
$56.25 per 45min lesson
$75 per 60min lesson
Private Instruction, online:
$30 per 30min lesson
$45 per 45min lesson
$60 per 60min lesson
Private Instruction, in your home:
$37.50 per 30min lesson + Travel Fee*
$56.25 per 45min lesson + Travel Fee*
$75 per 60min lesson + Travel Fee*
*Travel Fee is $20 or more, dependent on distance from North Hollywood
Group Instruction, Modern Band:
$50 per 90min class (per person) + Travel Fee* + Studio Rental Fee**
*Travel Fee is $20 or more, dependent on distance from North Hollywood, and is split between participants
**Studio Rental Fee is only applicable if we need to rent a rehearsal space, and is split between participants. Rehearsal studio rentals range from $25-50 per hour.
